SYMPTOMS
========

In Microsoft Project, when you use the Break Link button in the Links
dialog box to break multiple links, not all of the links are broken.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior occurs when you select multiple links in the Links dialog box
(by holding down the SHIFT key as you select the links). When you choose
the Break Link button with multiple links selected, only the first selected
link in the Links dialog box is removed.

Note that in Microsoft Project version 3.0, if you select multiple project
links in the Links dialog box and choose Delete, all of the links are
broken as expected.

WORKAROUNDS
===========

To work around this problem, select one link at a time in the Links dialog
box, and choose the Break Link button. Repeat this for each link that you
want to remove.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
