SYMPTOMS
========
 
Automap Road Atlas for MS-DOS may cause the system to stop responding
(hang) when your perform any calculation on computers without a math
coprocessor or computers without an Intel microprocessor installed.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
1. Restart the computer.
 
2. From the MS-DOS command prompt root directory (for example C:\ if
   your hard drive is drive C), type
 
      SET NO87=XYZ
 
   and press ENTER.
 
3. Restart Automap.
 
   NOTE: SET N087=XYZ can be added to the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Adding the
   entry to the AUTOEXEC.BAT file establishes the setting when the
   computer is turned on.
 
MORE INFORMATION
================
 
The SET N087=XYZ environment variable setting disables the program's
ability to use a math coprocessor during calculations. The problem
may occur when trying to display the Distance Line, a Table of
Directions, or whenever the program attempts to use the math
coprocessor.
