SUMMARY
=======

In Microsoft Bob WordArt, you cannot use white text on a black background.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Bob WordArt does not allow white text on a black background. However, by
following the steps below, you can create this effect by using WordArt in
combination with the Paintbrush program included with Windows.

 1. In Windows, start Paintbrush (usually found in your Accessories group).

 2. Create a black-filled square, rectangle, or other shape.

 3. Select the Scissors tool, and position the cutout window to surround
    the object with minimum white space.

 4. From the Edit menu, choose Copy.

 5. From the File menu, choose Exit to close Paintbrush.

 6. Return to Microsoft Bob. Start Bob Letter Writer with a blank document.

 7. Press and hold down the CTRL key, and the V key at the same time
    (CTRL+V). This pastes the Paintbrush object into your Letter Writer
    document.

 8. To add text, choose the Add An Object squishy.

 9. Select Microsoft Bob WordArt 1.0.

10. Choose the Colors and Patterns squishy.

11. Change Foreground color to white, and Background color to black.

12. Click the green check mark button.

13. At this point, you can change shape, font, and alignment of the object.

14. Click the green check mark button. This places the WordArt object into
    your document. You may have to move it over the Paintbrush object to
    see the text.

NOTE: Because of the way Microsoft Bob layers objects, the Paintbrush
object must be inserted into the document prior to the WordArt object. The
object entered first will be on the bottom.

NOTE: A similar procedure can be used in Great Greetings to use white text
on a black background.
