 - Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, version 4.0

SYMPTOMS
========

In Microsoft Project, when you select a value from the Font Size list box
on the Visual Basic toolbar, any of the following symptoms may occur:

 - When you click the Font Size list box arrow again, the value that
   appears in the Font Size list box is different from the value that you
   selected.

 - When you display the Module Format tab in the Options dialog box, the
   value that appears in the Size list box is different from the value that
   you selected from the Font Size list box.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if you enter a value in the Font Size list box, or
select a value from the Font Size list box that is greater than a specified
value for the font chosen. In other cases where you have selected a font
from the Font Size list box, the size incorrectly reverts to a size no
larger than 23 pts (Windows) or 31 pts (Macintosh).

For example, in Microsoft Project for Windows, this problem occurs when you
use the Courier New font if you select or enter a value greater than 23 in
the Font Size list box. In Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, this
problem occurs when you use the Courier font if you select or enter a value
greater than 31 in the Font Size list box.

The point size at which this behavior may occur depends on the font that
you are using. This behavior may occur, for example, if you enter a point
size that is greater than the largest number available in the Font Size
list box for a given font. For example, this behavior occurs if you enter a
value greater than 9 in the Point Size box while using the font Fixedsys in
Windows.

WORKAROUNDS
===========

To work around this problem, select a point size of less than 24 (Windows)
or less than 32 (Macintosh).

NOTE: You may need to select a smaller point size to work around this
problem, depending on the resolution of the video driver you are using.

STATUS
