How to Extract a File from a Cabinet File
-----------------------------------------

Make sure the TMP environment variable is set to the same path as your
TEMP environment variable. Type "set" (without the quotation marks) at the
MS-DOS command prompt to see the current environment settings. For example,
if your TEMP variable is equal to C:\TEMP, then type the following at the
MS-DOS command prompt and press ENTER:

   set tmp=c:\temp

To display the contents of a cabinet (CAB) file without extracting the
files, type the following and press ENTER:

   extract /d a:\u1.cab

To extract the file UTOPIA.DLL from U1.CAB to the C:\MSBOB directory,
type the following and press ENTER:

   extract a:\u1.cab /l c:\msbob utopia.dll

To obtain more information about EXTRACT command line parameters, type the
following and press ENTER:

   extract /?

NOTE: EXTRACT.EXE is located on Disk 1 of the Microsoft Bob disks. When you
install Bob, EXTRACT.EXE is copied to your MSBOB\SETUP directory during Bob
setup.
