The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, versions 3.0 and 3.0a

SYMPTOMS
========

The font along the vertical axis in a Works chart may look distorted.

MORE INFORMATION
================

The distortion occurs because data was updated in the graphed cells.

The distortion generally can begin after the fourth, fifth, or sixth
graphed cell is updated, though this number can vary. Once distortion
begins, the font becomes increasingly smaller as cells are updated. It may
eventually become illegible.

This problem does not occur in Works 4.0.

RESOLUTION
==========

Use the Chart menu Touch Up feature to update charts.

1. From Chart menu, choose Touch Up.

2. Click the vertical axis.

3. Change the font size as needed.
