SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you try to print a file by dragging the file from File Manager
to a printer icon or a printer shortcut, the document is not printed.
Instead, you receive the following error message:
 
   This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
   If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
 
When you click the Close button, you receive the following message:
 
   There was an internal error and one of the windows you were using has
   been closed. It is recommended that you save your work and close all
   programs, and then restart your computer.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
File Manager does not support drag-and-drop printing in Windows 95.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To use drag-and-drop printing, use Windows Explorer instead of File
Manager.
 
STATUS
======
 
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information
here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
