SUMMARY
=======
 
When you attempt to move an item out of the System Folder on a Macintosh
running System 7.5, you may receive one of the following error messages:
 
   You cannot move "X File" to the folder "Desktop," because you do not
   have enough access privileges
 
   -or-
 
   The command could not be completed, because you do not have enough
   access privileges.
 
   -or-
 
   The command could not be completed because it is locked.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
This error message appears if the System Folder is protected. (Note that
System protection does not affect your ability to move items into the
System Folder.)
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To unprotect the System Folder, do the following:
 
1. From the Apple Menu, choose Control Panels.
 
2. Choose General Controls.
 
3. In the Folder Protection section, clear the Protect System Folder
   check box.
 
You should now be able to move items out of the System Folder.
