SYMPTOMS
========

You may receive one of the following error messages when you attempt to
connect to Online Services.

Money 99, 98, 5.0 and 4.0
-------------------------

   Money attempted to recover from a previous communications error, but
   couldn't due to missing communication files. Please send your
   original transactions again.

Money 3.0
---------

   Money has reset its state after a communication file was deleted
   from disk. Please try your call again.

CAUSE
=====

The error message means the Money 99, 98 or 5.0 *.npc, *.vsa, or *.ofd; the
Money 4.0 *.npc; or the Money 3.0 *.snd file is missing.

The *.npc, *.vsa, *.ofd, and the *.snd files contain information to be
transferred during On-Line Services sessions. The message means the file
may have been deleted, renamed, or is on another disk.

RESOLUTION
==========

After Money resets, you can attempt the call again.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Possible Causes of Reset State Error Messages
---------------------------------------------

 - The Money 99, 98 or 5.0 *.npc, *.vsa, or *.ofd; the Money 4.0 *.npc;
   or the Money 3.0 *.snd file may have been deleted by you or deleted
   by the system due to hardware failure when the communication attempt
   failed.

 - You may have renamed the *.npc, *.vsa, *.ofd, or *.snd file.

 - You may receive this message if you are attempting a previously
   interrupted communication session from a backup floppy disk file. If
   you later restored that file to your hard disk drive and opened it
   from there, Money may be looking there for the *.npc, *.vsa, *.ofd,
   or the *.snd files that is still on the floppy disk.

 - There may be possible hardware or other system problems. Check for
   lost chains and clusters, using the chkdsk or scandisk MS-DOS
   commands, or running Scandisk in Windows 95. For more information
   about how to perform these tasks in Windows, see your Windows
   printed documentation or online Help.

 - You may receive this message if Money is unable to create the
   necessary send and receive files due to a full hard disk drive.
