Follow the steps below to convert Works for Windows files to Works for the
Macintosh. Save the files to a floppy disk using one of the formats listed
below. Once the files are saved to a floppy disk, translate them to the
Macintosh format using the translation software of your choice.

Converting Works for Windows 2.x Files to Works for the Macintosh Files
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

1. To convert word processing files from Works for Windows, version 2.x to
Works for the Macintosh, save them to a DOS formatted floppy disk in
either Text or RTF format. Use RTF whenever possible, because saving as
   Text removes all special formatting.

   a. From the File menu, choose Save As.

   b. In the File Name box, type a name for your document.

   c. In the Save File As Type box, select Text or RTF.

Note: For more information about saving documents as text files, see
page 86 of the "Microsoft Works User's Guide."

2. For spreadsheets and databases, use the methods outlined in step one of
this article; in the Save As Type Box, select Text & Tabs.

NOTE: For more information on saving files as Text & Tabs, see page 169
of the "Microsoft Works User's Guide."

NOTE: For more information on converted database files, please see
