SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you attempt to print or preview a Works database document converted from
Works for Windows version 3.0, the computer may stop responding (hang).
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To work around this issue, restart the computer, and then follow these steps:
 
1. Start Works, and then open the imported database.
 
2. On the Edit menu, click Select All.
 
3. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
 
4. Close the imported database file.
 
5. On the File menu, click New.
 
6. Double-click Database.
 
7. When you are prompted for the number of fields to create in the new database,
   type a number equal to or greater than the number of fields in the imported
   database.
 
8. On the Edit menu, click Paste.
 
9. Save the new database file.
 
STATUS
======
 
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Works for the
Macintosh, versions 4.0, 4.0a, and 4.0b.
