SUMMARY
=======

When you start Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0 with Bookshelf installed,
QuickShelf starts automatically. You can, however, set QuickShelf so it
doesn't automatically start.

MORE INFORMATION
================

To start Word 6.0 without QuickShelf automatically starting, add the
following line to the [WORDOTD] section of BSHELF95.INI file (for Bookshelf
1995) and to the BS94.INI file (for Office Professional & Bookshelf):

   startquickshelf=0

For more information about how to perform this task in Windows, see your
Windows printed documentation or online Help.

The integration between Word 6.0 and Bookshelf is contained in the BSH.WLL
file. Removing the BSH.WLL file from the Word for Windows 6.0 STARTUP
subdirectory turns off the QuickShelf auto launch feature.

NOTE: Removing the BSH.WLL file also removes the Bookshelf Daily feature in
Microsoft Word.

After the .INI modification, you can still double-click the QuickShelf icon
to manually start the program, and use it in Microsoft Word.
