SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you start Bob Address Book, you may receive the following error
message:
 
   The Address Book Experienced an Error (Error #91) during startup. Please
   check your installation and try again.
 
   Bob error # 0
 
CAUSE
=====
 
This message occurs because the ABOOK.MDB (Address Book) file is set to
read only. Address Book cannot start until the Read Only attribute is
removed from the file.
 
RESOLUTION 1
============
 
To resolve this problem, do the following:
 
1. Find the files Utopia.reg and Utopiawa.reg on your system.
 
   In Windows 95, click Start, point to Find, click Files or Folders,
   and type "u*.reg" (without the quotation marks) in the Names box.
 
   In Windows 3.x, click Search on the File menu in File Manager and
   type "u*.reg" (without the quotation marks) in the Search For box.
 
2. Double-click Utopia.reg and Utopiawa.reg. You will see a message
   indicating successful registration.

RESOLUTION 2
============
 
Remove the file's Read Only attribute using the following steps:
 
In Windows 3.x
--------------
 
1. Exit Bob.
 
2. Start File Manager, usually located in the Main program group.
 
3. Double-click the MSBOB subdirectory.
 
4. Double-click the ADDRESS subdirectory.
 
5. Select your address book file, usually ABOOK.MDB.
 
6. From the File menu, choose Properties.
 
7. In the Attributes section of the Properties dialog box, clear the
   Read Only check box.
 
9. Return to Bob and open your address book file.
 
In Windows 95
-------------
 
1. Exit Bob.
 
2. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
 
3. Click the MSBOB folder.
 
4. Click the ADDRESS folder.
 
5. With your right mouse button, click your address book file, usually
   ABOOK.MDB.
 
6. Click Properties.
 
7. In the Attributes section of the General Properties tab, clear the
   Read-Only check box.
 
8. Click OK to keep your changes.
 
9. Return to Bob and open your address book file.
