SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you select a drop-down list and hold down the mouse button while you
scroll the list, the highlighted selection does not change from the first
choice on the list.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
This problem occurs when the mouse button configuration is swapped such
that the right mouse button is the primary button and the left mouse button
is the secondary button.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
When you select the drop-down list, release the mouse button first and
then scroll the list to make a selection. The highlighted item will change
as the selection is made.
 
STATUS
======
 
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
