SUMMARY
=======

If you add an On-Line payee with the same name as a regular payee that
already exists in your payee list, Money does not combine the two.
Instead, Money creates two separate payees with the same name. The
payee list will show that one payee (the one that was originally in
your payee list) has a four-day payment delivery period and the other
payee with the same name allows electronic payments with a one-day
delivery period.

To avoid confusion, you can combine the two payees so that your payee
list contains only the On-Line payee with the one-day electronic payment
service. Any existing transactions for this payee name will now be
On-Line payees.

Using On-Line Payees in Microsoft Money allows you to save payment
delivery time when using the Pay On-Line feature. Payments are
transferred electronically from your checking account to the payee's
account. This type of payment usually takes just one business day's
notice.

Follow the steps below to combine two payees (one On-Line and one regular)
into a single On-Line payee:

1. Before adding the On-Line payee, rename the original payee in the
payee list using the following steps:

   a. On the Lists menu, click Payee List.

   b. Select the original payee from the list, then click the Rename
      button.

   c. Type a different, temporary, name in the New Name box and click
      OK.

2. Add the On-Line Payee using the following steps:

   a. In the Payee List window, click the Pay On-Line Info button,
and then click Add On-line Payees.

   b. Click the payee you want to add from the List of On-Line
      Payees, then click Add.

   c. Close the Pay On-Line Info window by clicking Close.

3. Rename the original payee to its original name (now the name of the
   On-Line payee).

   a. In the Payee List window, select the temporary payee name that
      you created in Step 1.

   b. Click Rename and enter the original name in the New Name box, then
      click OK.

   c. In the confirmation box that appears, click Yes.

This process combines both payees into a single On-Line payee. Any
transactions assigned to the original payee will now be capable of
using the reduced On-Line payment delivery period. In addition, any
split transaction information from your original payee will carry
over to the On-Line payee.
