SYMPTOMS
========

If you press the ESC (escape) key to cancel a Letter Writer, Mailroom or
Checkbook print-to-file task, you may receive an error message similar to
the following:

   Doggone! I failed you!
   I couldn't start printing because of a problem with
   the printer. Please check its instructions to make
   sure it's set up correctly, then try again.

   -or-

   Sniff! I'm Sorry!
   I couldn't start printing because of a problem with
   the printer. Please check its instructions to make
   sure it's set up correctly, then try again.

   -or-

   Woof! An error has occurred!
   I'm having trouble getting
   the printer to work.

This error message also appears if you click Cancel when you are prompted
for a print-to filename.

These messages can vary slightly depending on your personal guide.

RESOLUTION
==========

These messages may lead you to believe that your printer is improperly
configured. However, if the message was generated by use of the ESC key or
the Cancel button, your printer configuration is probably fine and you can
ignore this message.
