SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you attempt to install Automap Pro, you may receive a general
protection (GP) fault in module Install.exe.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
The NEXTBASE.REG, AUTOMAP.INI and NETWORK.REG files located in the
\WINDOWS directory cause conflicts with Install if a copy of Automap Pro is
already installed on the computer.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
Delete the NEXTBASE.REG, AUTOMAP.INI and NETWORK.REG files from the
\WINDOWS subdirectory using the following steps. These involve changing
directories and deleting files from an MS-DOS command prompt. For more
information about how to accomplish this task see you MS-DOS documentation
or online help.
 
1. At the MS-DOS command prompt, change to C:\Windows subdirectory.
 
   where C is the letter the letter of your hard drive.
 
2. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER
 
      del nextbase.reg
 
3. Repeat step 2 for the following files:
 
      del automap.ini
      del network.reg
