 - Microsoft Project for Windows, version 4.0

SYMPTOMS
========

In Microsoft Project version 4.0, when you open a file created in Microsoft
Project version 3.0 for Windows, and you select and copy a task record
containing linked data in the Name field, the linked Name field information
is not copied.

NOTE: This applies only to the Name field. Other linked fields are copied
correctly.

RESOLUTION
==========

To allow the linked data to be copied, use either of the following methods.

Method 1: To copy the linked data, export the file to the Microsoft Project
          MPX 4.0 file format and reopen it in Microsoft Project version
          4.0 for Windows . Saving the file in MPX format rewrites the file
          correctly and allows the linked data to be copied.

Method 2: Select Name field for the task instead of using the ID number to
          select the entire record.
