SYMPTOMS
========

When you print a form or document in Works, the resulting page may
contain blank areas.

CAUSE
=====

When you create a form, field placement settings such as Slide Left To
Remove Extra Space and Slide Up Over Blank Fields are selected by default.
Because of this, form fields not perfectly aligned can slide up or to the
left on a page. When this occurs, fields that were supposed to Slide Up or
Slide Left to fill a blank field may be in the wrong position, causing
blank or incorrect printing areas.

RESOLUTION
==========

Align all fields to allow Slide functions to work properly. To align the
fields, do the following:

1. On the Format menu, click Grid Settings.

2. Select a setting to help you align fields, for example, 1/10 inch.

3. On the Format menu, click Snap to Grid.

4. Move your fields so they align to the new grid.

For Objects, Text, or Fields that you don't want moved, make sure Slide Up
or Slide Left feature is turned off.
