SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you try to download a file from The Microsoft Network, you may
receive the following error message:
 
   FTMCL.EXE is linked to missing export FTMAPI.DLL
 
CAUSE
=====
 
An upgrade to The Microsoft Network software on your computer resulted in
a damaged file.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To resolve this problem, perform the upgrade again. To do so, delete the
Msnver.txt file from the Program Files\The Microsoft Network folder and
then sign in to The Microsoft Network.
