SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you double-click the Set Up The Microsoft Network icon on the desktop,
you may receive a dialog box in which the option buttons are unavailable.
The dialog box also contains a message stating that The Microsoft Network
is already installed. However, there is no desktop icon for The Microsoft
Network and no obvious way to connect.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To create a desktop icon for The Microsoft Network, follow these steps:
 
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control
   Panel.
 
2. Double click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
 
3. On the Windows Setup tab, click The Microsoft Network check box to
   clear it.
 
4. Click the Apply button.
 
5. Click The Microsoft Network check box to select it.
 
6. Click OK.
