3. Q. Money 4.0 did not find my pre-existing data file. Has it been
      deleted?

   A. Money Setup does not remove any existing data files. If, after
running Setup, Money does not automatically locate your pre-
existing data file, you can use Money's Open command to open it
manually. Please see Money's online Help for detailed
      instructions.

4. Q. Why am I getting an illegal instruction error message when I try
to install Money version 3.0 on my computer?

   A. This problem occurs when your computer is unable to decompress
the files on the floppy disk. This occurs because your computer
is low on memory or because it has a slow processor. For example,
you might see this error occur on a computer with a 286 processor
and 4 MB of RAM, or on a computer with a 386 processor and 2 MB
      of RAM.

      -or-

5. Q. I accidentally deleted some Money program files in Money version
4.0 for Windows 95, how can I reinstall them?

   A. If a Money 4.0 program file is mistakenly deleted, you can
reinstall Money for Windows 95 to restore your original
installation. To reinstall Money 4.0, perform the following five
      steps:

      1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click
         Control Panel.

      2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

      3. Click the Install/Uninstall tab.

      4. On the Install/Uninstall tab, select Microsoft Money, and then
         click Add/Remove.

      5. When the Money installation screen appears, click Reinstall.

6. Q. I accidentally deleted some Money program files in Money 3.0, how
      can I reinstall them?

   A. If a program file is mistakenly deleted, you can reinstall
Microsoft Money by running Setup from your program disks.

7. Q. I have a previous version of Money. How do I install Money
for Windows 95, and what happens to my old version and its
      data file?

   A. Setup searches your hard disk for a previous version of
Money. If Setup locates one, it suggests that you install
Money version 4.0 for Windows 95 in the same location. Setup then
updates the program files and removes any program files that are
no longer needed. It does not remove any existing data files,
unless it has the same name as a program file that ships with
      Money. This is unlikely.

File loss or damage during setup is extremely rare. However, it's
best to back up important documents before installing any
software. If anything happens to an important document, you still
      have the backup.

Money for Windows 95 will automatically convert your data files
from previous versions to this new version.

8. Q. Why do I get the error message: "This setup is not intended for
      your version of Windows?"

   A. Microsoft Money 4.0 for Windows 95 is a 32-bit program designed
for Windows 95 (32-bit architecture). You cannot install it on
      previous versions of Windows.

If you receive this error message when you try to install Money
3.0, order article Q124844 from the Money FastTips Catalog.
