The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Money version 5.0 for Windows 95
 - Microsoft Money version 4.0, 4.0a for Windows 95
-----------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

When you attempt to run Microsoft Money versions 4.0 and 5.0 for
Windows 95 on a computer with a non-x86 processor(for example, not
a 80386, 80486, or Pentium), with Windows NT 3.51, you may receive

   Money4.exe is not a valid Windows NT application

   -or-

   Unexpected DOS error: 11

RESOLUTION
==========

Windows NT runs in an emulation of a 80286 processor on non-x86
machines. Because Money for Windows 95 is a 32-bit application, it
does not run on a computer in a 16-bit emulation mode.

Examples of non-x86 computers include: Digital Equipment Corporation's
(DEC) Alpha AXP 21064 150, 200 and 275 mhz RISC-based processors,
and Motorola's PowerPC RISC-based processors.
