SYMPTOM
=======

When you print a PowerPoint slide that contains a Word table object that
contains shaded cells, a small gray box will print out in the lower-right
corner of the table.

Note: This problem occurs only with Word 6.0 and Word 6.0.1, and only if
the shaded cells are filled with a shade of black.

RESOLUTION
==========

Change the foreground shading color of the table to something other than
black:

1. In PowerPoint, double-click the embedded Word table.

2. Select all the rows and columns that contain shading.

3. In Word, click Borders And Shading on the Format menu.

4. Click the Shading tab.

5. Click the pop-up menu to the right of foreground.

6. Click Dark Gray (or some color other than black) on the menu.

7. Click OK.

8. On the File menu, click Update.

9. On the File menu, click "Close and Return to <Presentation name>."

The slide should now print correctly.
