SUMMARY
=======

In most areas covered by the Automap Road Atlas, the Map View is
not oriented to show display a true north boundary.

For example, the border between Idaho and Washington State, which
runs in a true northerly direction, appears on the Map View to
approximately twenty degrees from vertical.

MORE INFORMATION
================

The geographic data in Automap Road Atlas has been projected onto an Albers
Conic Equal Area projection centered on 100 degrees West longitude. Since
the map projection is static, only locations 100 degrees West longitude
display a true North, or directly upright, appearance.
