SYMPTOMS
========

When you try to install Microsoft Plus! for Windows 95, you may receive a
message stating that you need to run Setup with the /F switch. However,
when you run Setup with the /F switch, you receive the following error
message:

   Setup error 544
   Setup is unable to open the data file 'F:\~MSSETUP.T\~PP.T\plus.stf'.
   Run Setup again from where you originally ran it.

CAUSE
=====

This problem can occur if you try to install Microsoft Plus! on a local or
network drive running Windows 95 without long filename support. Microsoft
Plus! for Windows 95 requires long filename support.

RESOLUTION
==========

Restart your computer and run Setup again. Choose to install Microsoft
Plus! on a drive that supports long filenames.

Note that it may be necessary to remove the folder specified in the error
message before you can run Microsoft Plus! Setup successfully.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Although Microsoft Plus! Setup performs a system check to see if long
filenames are supported, it does not check network drives for long filename
support.
