Installing Microsoft Automap Road Atlas
---------------------------------------

CAUTION: If you are using Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.5, perform
the following steps from an MS-DOS prompt. Do not allow MS-DOS to overwrite
any files it finds on your hard drive. Allowing the system files to be
overwritten in Windows 95 or Windows NT may cause improper system
performance.

If you are installing Road Atlas to Microsoft Windows 3.x, exit Windows and
follow these steps from the MS-DOS command prompt. Do not attempt these
steps while Microsoft Windows 3.x is running.

 1. Create a folder on your hard drive named C:\Automap.

For Example, type the following at the root directory MS-
DOS command prompt and press Enter:

       md c:\automap

 2. Create two folders within the Automap folder and name
    them:

       Usa.map
       Userdata

For Example, type the following at the MS-DOS command prompt and press
    ENTER:

      cd automap

Then, type the following at the Automap folder of the MS-DOS prompt and
    press ENTER:

       md usa.map

This creates an Automap folder containing the folders Userdata and
    Usa.map.

 3. Change to the Usa.map folder by typing:

       cd usa.map

After you press Enter, the system prompt appears as:

       c:\Automap\usa.map

 4. Insert the Automap Disk 1 into drive A, type the following, and press
    ENTER:

       copy a:\*.* c:\automap\usa.map

 5. Remove Disk 1 and insert Disk 2. Type the following:

       extract /c a:\amwdisk2.cab c:\automap\usa.map

 6. Remove Disk 2 and insert Disk 3. Type the following:

       extract /c a:\amwdisk3.cab c:\automap\usa.map

 9. At the c:\Automap\usa.map MS-DOS prompt, type the following and press
    ENTER:
