SYMPTOMS
========

If you use Microsoft Backup to perform a complete backup of your system
using the "Full System Backup.set" backup set, some of your custom settings
may not be restored when you restore the backup set. The settings that are
not restored include custom settings for pointers, sounds, colors, desktop
themes, and the arrangement of icons on the desktop.

CAUSE
=====

The custom settings that are not restored are settings that are saved in
the registry each time you shut down or restart Windows 95. These custom
settings are restored to the registry when you restore the backup set, but
they are then overwritten with the current Windows 95 settings when you
restart your computer after restoring the backup set.

RESOLUTION
==========

You must select your custom settings again manually.
