The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Money 99
 - Microsoft Money 98
 - Microsoft Money version 5.0 for Windows 95
 - Microsoft Money versions 4.0, 4.0a for Windows 95
-------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

In the Account Details for a loan account, the interest rate is displayed
with only two decimal digits.

For example, the interest rate for a loan created with a fractional
portion, such as 8 5/8 appears to be rounded as a decimal to 8.63.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior is by design of Microsoft Money.

STATUS
======

The loan is calculated correctly. The calculation actually uses three
decimal digits, such as 8.625 for 8 5/8 to correctly calculate the
principal and interest payment amount.
