The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft PowerPoint for Macintosh, versions 3.0, 3.0b, 4.0

SYMPTOMS
========

When you use Microsoft PowerPoint on a Macintosh Powerbook with video
mirroring turned on, your presentation may appear dithered on the
external monitor.

RESOLUTION
==========

If the presentation looks different on the external monitor than on the
primary monitor, make sure that both monitors are set to the same color
depth. If display quality problems persist, setting the external monitor
as
the start-up monitor may correct the problem.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Video mirroring is a feature of the Powerbook that allows two monitors
to
simultaneously display the same information. Video Mirroring is turned
off
and on by the Powerbook Display Control Panel. You can set the color
depth
of each monitor individually in the Monitors Control Panel.
