SYMPTOMS
========

When you try to enter numbers in your account register, the cursor
jumps around on screen.

CAUSE
=====

Your NUM LOCK key is probably not on.

RESOLUTION
==========

Check the NUM LOCK key. Most keyboards have a light to tell if NUM LOCK
is activated. NUM LOCK needs to be on to enter numeric values with the
number pad. If NUM LOCK is off the 2, 4, 6, and 8 keys become arrow
keys. When you attempt to enter one of these numbers, the arrow keys
cause the cursor to jump to another field.
