SYMPTOMS
========
 
You may receive one of the following error messages while you use Works:
 
   The ClipArt Gallery Index File has been corrupted.
   You will need to create a new clipart database.
 
   -or-
 
   That file cannot be opened by this version of QuickView. Either it has
   been damaged or it was intended for a different version of QuickView.
 
The first message may occur when you try to insert pictures from the
ClipArt Gallery. The second message may occur when you attempt to access
the Online Reference.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
Even after a complete installation of Works 4.0, some program items remain
on the compact disc. Two of these items are the Online Reference and
the ClipArt Gallery. If you try to access one of these items and your disc
is dirty or scratched, you may receive one of the error messages.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
Clean the compact disc and try to access the feature again.
