The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Money versions 5.0 for Windows 95
 - Microsoft Money versions 4.0, 4.0a for Windows 95
 - Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 3.51
-------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

When you open a Money 3.0 or 3.0a data file in Money 4.0 or Money 5.0
on a computer running Windows NT 3.51, you may encounter the following
error messages:

The dynamic link library TAPI32.dll could not be found in the
   specified path <path listing>.

Money is unable to load the file <path> xsnpc.dll. This could
be because you don't have the file TAPI32.dll on your system.
If you have TAPI32, please reinstall the software.

This problem normally occurs after you convert a Money 3.0 file that,
on the Online menu in Money 3.0, was clicked at any time.

CAUSE
=====

This error message occurs for the following reasons:

 - This can happen in Windows 95 if Tapi32.dll is not in the
   Windows\System folder.

RESOLUTION: If Tapi32.dll is not in the Windows\System folder, copy
it from your Windows 95 disk or compact disc to your Windows\System
folder. For information about copying files, see your Windows online
   Help or printed documentation.

   -or-

 - Money 4.0 and Money 5.0 use the Telephony Application Programming
Interface (TAPI) that is implemented in Windows 95. Windows NT 3.51
does not support TAPI. This causes Money to generate the error
messages. Money for Windows 95 is designed specifically for Windows
   95. To take full advantage of Money 4.0 or Money 5.0 features, you
   must use Windows 95.

RESOLUTION: You must export each account, create a new Money file,
and then import each account into the new Money file. See below for
   more information.

------------------

1. On the File menu, click Export.

2. Select Loose QIF, then click OK.

NOTE: Use the name of the account for the filename, if possible.

5. In the Account List, click the account you wish to export, then
   click Continue.

   between accounts correctly.

   the appropriate account. Click OK.
