SYMPTOMS
========

When you insert clipart from Microsoft ClipArt Gallery into a PowerPoint
presentation, the clipart may appear with gaps or spaces in it. The same
image may insert properly into a new PowerPoint presentation.

CAUSE
=====

This problem can occur if there is some minor corruption in the PowerPoint
presentation.

RESOLUTION
==========

You can usually eliminate minor corruption from a presentation by
recreating the presentation. To do so, follow these steps:

NOTE: In this example, the corrupted presentation is called Presentation 1.

 1. Start PowerPoint. On the File menu, click New.

 2. In the New Presentation dialog box, click to select the Template
    button, and then click OK.

 3. Click Presentation 1 and click the Apply button to apply it as a
    template.

 4. In the New Slide dialog box, click OK. You do not need to choose any
    particular AutoLayout.

 5. On the View menu, click Slide Sorter.

 6. Click the slide to select it.

 7. On the Edit menu, click Cut.

 8. On the Insert menu, click Slides From File.

 9. Click Presentation 1 and click the Insert button.

10. Save the presentation.

This process creates a copy of the presentation and should eliminate the
corruption. The clip art should now insert as expected.
