 - Microsoft Automap Road Atlas for Windows, version 4.0
-------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

After you calculate a route in Microsoft Automap Road Atlas, you are unable
to remove the following symbols from the map:

 - Start
 - End
 - Via boxes
 - Gas Pumps
 - Beds
 - Times

RESOLUTION
==========

There is no direct method to remove these symbols from the map.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Automap Road
Atlas version 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new
information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Although you are unable to prevent the Gas Pump symbols from appearing on
the map, if you set the value for fuel capacity to 1,324 gallons and set
Miles Per Gallon (MPG) to 186, and then you recalculate the Journey, you
can significantly reduce the number of symbols that appear on the map.

Likewise, you are unable to prevent the Bed symbols from appearing on the
map. However, if you set the driver's hours to start at 12:01 A.M. and to
end at 12:00 A.M., and then you recalculate the Journey, the distance
between the symbols will dramatically increase.
