The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Systems Management Server version 1.10 w/ Service Pack 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

After you upgraded your Systems Management Server version 1.1 client
computers to Service Pack 1, when you use Remote Control to access the
client, the fonts are incorrect. They are spaced out and cannot be read.

Remote Control works correctly without Service Pack 1 installed.

CAUSE
=====

The GD5434 driver on the client causes the fonts in Remote Control not work
when SP1 is installed and the driver is set to more than 16 colors. The
standard Windows for Workgroups drivers for SuperVGA work correctly in the
higher color modes on this computer.

WORKAROUND
==========

Install the older IDIS_LM.DLL file from version 1.1 (not Service Pack 1).

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server
version 1.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information
in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
