RESOLUTION
==========

If you received the msajt112.dll error, move the file msajt112.dll to the
Windows System folder. If you received the msajt200.dll error, move the
file msajt200.dll to the Windows System folder.

If msajt200.dll and msajt112.dll are not on your hard drive, delete the
file Vbdb300.dll from the Windows System folder, delete the file
\Setup\Setup.stf from the Bob folder, and then reinstall Bob.

These instructions assume:

 - Your hard disk is drive C

 - Your Windows folder (directory) is C:\Windows

If your hard disk drive or Windows folder is different, replace the drive
letters and folder names throughout this article with the drive letters and
folder names on your computer.

--------------------------------------------------------

1. Click the Start button, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders

2. Type the file name in the Named box. For example, if you received the
    msajt112.dll error, type:

       msajt112.dll

3. Type the following in the Look in box:

      c:\

4. Make sure that the Include Subfolders box is selected.

5. After the file is found, on the Edit menu, click copy.

6. Do not close Find.

7. Click the Start button and then click Run.

8. Type the following in the Open box, and then click OK:

       c:\windows\system

9. When the System folder opens, on the Edit menu, click Paste.

10. Close the System folder, and then close Find.

Steps to Move Msajt200.dll or Msajt112.dll in Windows 3.1
---------------------------------------------------------

1. Open File Manager, usually found in the Main group of Program
   Manager.

2. On the File menu, click Search.

3. Type the file name in the Search For box. For example, if you received
   the msajt112.dll error, type:

       msajt112.dll

4. Type the following into the Start From box:

      c:\

When Msajt200.dll or Msajt112.dll Cannot Be Found
-------------------------------------------------

1. Type the following at an MS-DOS command prompt, and press the
ENTER key at the end of each line:

      cd \windows\system

      ren vbdb300.dll vbdb300.dl

      cd \msbob\setup

      del setup.stf

2. Reinstall Bob according to the instructions included with Microsoft Bob

The reinstallation replaces the Vbdb300.dll file and corrects the problem.

Bob uses Microsoft Visual Basic 3.0 code to open Microsoft Access 1.0
databases like Safari.mdb. There is a "Visual Basic Compatibility
Layer" used by some programs that lets Visual Basic 3.0 open Access
2.0 databases.

The main difference in these code mechanisms is the file called
Vbdb300.dll. The two version of this file are the same size, but one
looks for Msajt110.dll, which Bob uses, and the other looks for
Msajt112.dll.

Problems Associated with Incorrect Vbdb300.dll
----------------------------------------------

An incorrect copy of Vbdb300.dll may also cause the following symptoms:

 - When you start GeoSafari, the error message "Object Variable Not Set"
   appears.

 - Household Manager and Financial Advisor may fail to start and no
   error message appears.

If My Computer does not show Vbdb300.dll:

1. On the View menu, click Options.

2. Click the View tab and click Show All Files.

3. Make sure the "Hide MS-DOS file extensions for file types that are
   registered" box is not checked.
