 - Microsoft Word for Windows NT, version 6.0
 - Microsoft Word for Windows 95, version 7.0

SYMPTOMS
========

When you save a Word 6.0 for Windows NT or Word 7.0 for Windows 95 document
containing one or more user-defined styles in Word for MS-DOS 3.x-5.x or
Word for MS-DOS 6.0 format, and you select the option to attach or create a
style sheet, you may receive the following error message:

   Style sheet file name specified is not valid.

CAUSE
=====

The style sheet (*.sty) is being saved with a long file name or is being
saved to a folder with a long file name (such as My Documents).

RESOLUTION
==========

To work around this problem, use the standard 8.3 MS-DOS naming convention
for both the style sheet name and for the folder you are saving the style
sheet to.
