SYMPTOMS
========

In Works 4.0 for the Macintosh, when you create a circle or oval object
with a gradient fill, if there is no outline around the object, the bottom
and side edges of the object may appear flat on the screen and when it is
printed.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1
--------

Create an outline using the same color as the background color. To do this,
use the following steps:

1. Click the object you want to correct.

2. On the Tool Palette, click the Outline tool.

3. Select the color of the background (For example, if the object is on a
   white background, select white).

The object now appears to be more rounded and the outline is not visible.

Method 2
--------

Choose a non-gradient fill from the Tool Palette. To do this, use the
following steps:

1. In the Works document, click the oval you want to correct.

2. On the Tool Palette, click the Fill Pattern tool.

3. Click any fill that is not a gradient fill.

The object now appear more rounded on the edges.
