SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you attempt to display Road Names in Automap Road Atlas, you receive
the following error message:
 
   Could not complete your request because of a disk error.
 
After you click OK, the computer continues to display the error.
 
This occurs when more than two states are displayed on screen.
 
STATUS
======
 
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Automap Road Atlas versions
2.01, 2.02, and 2.04 for the Macintosh. We are researching this problem and
will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
 
WORKAROUND
==========
 
To stop the error message, restart your computer.
 
To view a map with Road Names on, do the following:
 
1. On the Map menu, click Go To Region. Select the State option.
 
2. Select the state you want and click OK.
 
3. On the Map menu, select Options, and then click Road Names.
 
MORE INFORMATION
================
 
The error seems to occur when there are insufficient system resources
available to display the map Road Names on a large map area.
