SUMMARY
=======
 
Works for the Macintosh, unlike some word-processing programs, does not
include an overtype feature. The program always inserts text and leaves any
existing text untouched.
 
MORE INFORMATION

To remove or delete existing text, use one of the method below:
 
Method 1
--------
 
Use the "delete" or "del" key to delete unwanted text.
 
 - Click your mouse after the letter or text you want to remove, and then
   press the "delete" key until the letters or characters  disappear.
 
 - Click your mouse before the letter or text you want to delete, and then
   press "del" until the text is deleted.
 
Note: The "del" key is only available on extended keyboards.
 
Method 2
--------
 
1. Select to highlight the text you want to delete.
 
2. On the Edit menu, click Clear.
 
Method 3
--------
 
1. Select to highlight the text you want to delete.
 
2. Begin typing. The highlighted text is replaced by new text as you type.
