The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, versions 4.0, 4.0a, 4.0b
----------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

When you try to preview or print a spreadsheet document that you set up to
print row and column headings, the column headings may not be centered on
the page.

RESOLUTION
==========

Changing the font or the font size is the best way to avoid or keep this
problem to a minimum. However, there some misalignment of the column
heading does remain.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works version 4.0 for the
Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information
here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION
================

The amount the column headings are off center, or whether they are off
center at all, depends on a number of factors. These include:

 - The font used

 - The point size of the font

 - The printer driver used

In some instances, the column heading is only slightly off center. Other
times, the column heading is so far from centered that is looks right
justified.
