SYMPTOMS
========

The Short Term Capital Gain Distribution (CGShortX) transaction
provided by Quicken can be used to record and transfer money into
other accounts.

However, when you import .qif files that contain CGShortX transactions, you
can produce erroneous results that affect account information such
as account balances.

-or-

When you are importing a file, you might receive the following
message:

   Some of your transactions contained errors or inconsistencies.
   Money imported them as Other Income or Other Expense
   transactions, with the note 'Imported information was incorrect'
   in the Memo field.

RESOLUTION
==========

While you are in Quicken, print a transaction report before you export the
account. After you import the account into Money, print a transaction
report and compare transaction reports. Manually adjust any differences.

-or-

If you received the error message, you can search for the Imported
Information Was Incorrect note to locate any transactions that
contain this text in the memo field. Then, you can manually adjust any
differences.

Finding the Imported Information Was Incorrect Note

1. On the Tools menu, point to Find and then click Investment Transactions.

2. Click the Text tab.

4. Click Find.

   your criteria. Double-click any transaction you want to manually adjust.
