SUMMARY
=======

When you open a project file containing links, the "'Project' contains
linked information. Reestablish links?" dialog box appears only once.

When you click Yes, Microsoft Project will open all links in that
file. In addition, it will open all links that those files contain.

In earlier versions of Microsoft Project, this dialog box is displayed for
each link that Microsoft Project attempts to re-establish.

This behavior is by design of Microsoft Project.

MORE INFORMATION
================

If you wish to prevent Microsoft Project from updating all links
automatically, you can use one of the following methods:

METHOD 1:

       1. Open the files where the updating should stop (that is, open the
          file that you want to re-establish links to).

       2. Open the main file (the file to which you have created the links)
          and click Yes when you are prompted with the re-establish links
          dialog.

       Once the updating-link cycle reaches the file you opened in step 1,
       Microsoft Project will stop opening the linked files.

METHOD 2:

       1. Open the files where the updating should stop (that is, open the
          file that you want to re-establish links to).

       2. From the Edit menu, click Links. Select all links and click the
          manual radio button. Click close.

       3. Save the file(s) and close.

       4. Open the main file and click Yes when you are prompted with the
          re-establish links dialog.
