SYMPTOMS
========

When trying to connect to Online Banking with a member bank you
receive the following error message:

   To use Online Banking, you need to setup the account you want
   to use. To set up an account, go to that account, click Account
   Details, and then click Select Online Services and make sure
   Online Banking is checked.

This occurs even though you checked with your bank to make sure your
account is set up correctly.

CAUSE
=====

This occurs if you had a previous Online Bill Payment account set up
directly with Online Services. Online Services assigned you an account
based on your social security number.

When the bank requests Online Services to set up your account for
Online Banking using your social security number, Online Services notes
that the social security number is in use and sends an error message back
to the bank.

RESOLUTION
==========

Your bank needs to verify with Online Services that your account is
enabled for both online banking and online bill payment.

MORE INFORMATION
================

This problem has occurred in two situations:

Situation 1
-----------

You are a customer of a member bank and have been using your checking
account for online bill payment. Now your bank is attempting to set up
online banking and possibly online bill payment through the bank.

To resolve this situation, you need to notify your bank that you previously
used online bill payment. Ask your bank to contact Online Services to turn
your existing account with Online Services into a member bank account with
the same social security number.

Situation 2
-----------

You bank with multiple banks and use Online Services of some type with one
bank (member or non-member). You want to enable online services with a
different member bank.

To resolve this situation you need to open two separate files in Money and
have two separate accounts with Online Services. One is based on your
social security number, the other is based on a different account number
generated by Online Services.

NOTE: In this situation you will be billed separately - once by the bank
for the member bank charges, and once by either Online Services for the non-
member bank online bill payment service or by the other member bank for the
other member bank charges.

NOTE: This error will also occur if you bank at a non-member bank and set
up an account for online banking. For a listing of the current banks that
allow online banking with Microsoft Money, see the following article in the
