Testing Your CD-ROM Drive
-------------------------

The CD-ROM drive may have difficulty reading files located on the outer
portion, or track, of the disc. To test for specific drive-capacity
limitations, do the following:

 1. Insert the Ultimate Robot disc into the CD-ROM drive.

 2. Open the Ultimate Robot disc.

 3. Open the System Support Folder.

 4. Open the QuickTime Folder.

 5. Open the Replacement Scrapbook File Folder.

 6. Drag the following file to your hard drive icon.

       Scrapbook File Read Me

 7. Close the Replacement Scrapbook File Folder, close the
QuickTime Folder, and close the System Support Folder

 8. Open the Goodies Folder.

 9. Open the Robotoid Art Folder.

10. Open the R6 Original Art Folder.

11. Drag the following file to your hard drive icon.

       R6 legs m480x24c

12. Close the R6 Original Art Folder, close the Robotoid Art Folder, and
    close the Goodies Folder.

13. Open the Asimov Folder.

14. Open the Robotoid Assembly Folder.

15. Drag the following file to your hard drive icon.

      MacroMind Player

If the following error message appears while you copy any file,

The file <filename> couldn't be read, because a disk error occurred.
Do you want to continue copying?

then your CD-ROM drive cannot read the disk at the specified location.
If the file does copy, compare its size with the file on the compact disc.

Comparing File Size Information
-------------------------------

1. Locate the file on the disc.

2. Click the file one time.

3. On the File Menu, click Get Info.

4. Note the number of Bytes Used shown on the Size line.

5. Repeat the above procedure with the file that was copied to the hard
   disk drive.

The number of bytes used should be the same for both files. If the
number of bytes is different, then the CD-ROM drive is having problems
reading the compact disc.

For additional information about drive limitations, contact your CD-ROM
drive manufacturer.
