SUMMARY
=======

To color a sequence of images, begin by coloring all small areas and finish
by using the Multi-Rectangular-Fill option in Paint. This technique can be
especially useful if the last color to be applied is a large area divided
within its parameters by many smaller areas. The more small areas that
divide the larger area from within, the more effective this technique is.

MORE INFORMATION
================

This technique involves the application of all colors but one. The
remaining color is then applied using the Multi-Rectangular-Fill option in
Paint in the InkNPaint module of Toonz.

Complete the following steps to use this technique:

1. Plan the coloring sequence in advance by determining the area within the
   sequence that requires the most work to color. Organize the work so that
   this area is the final area to be colored.

2. Proceed with normal coloration until all areas have been colored except
   the area designated as the final area to be colored.

3. Save the work.

4. To protect the colors that have been applied so far, activate Selective
   in Paint in the InkNPaint module.

5. Click the Multifill button to activate the Multi-Rectangular-Fill option
   in Paint in the InkNPaint module.

6. Click the film strip to go to the first drawing in the sequence.

7. In the first drawing in the sequence, use the mouse to draw a rectangle
   large enough to include the entire area to be colored.

8. Go to the final drawing in the sequence.

9. In the final drawing in the sequence, use the mouse to draw a second
   rectangle large enough to include the entire area to be colored. Toonz
   now automatically color fills the closed areas within the rectangle from
   the first drawing through to the last drawing in the sequence without
   altering the colors that have been applied so far.

10. Clean up any areas that Toonz may have closed inadvertently in the
    drawings.
