SYMPTOMS
========

When you attempt to fax a Works document using Global Village software, the
file is saved as "Fax Spool File" (without the quotation marks), instead of
using the document name.

The fax file is saved to the Globalfax Files folder. This folder is located
in the Spooled Faxes folder in the system folder.

CAUSE
=====

In non-Works word processing programs, the Global Village application uses
the original filename when saving a document as a Fax file. Global Village
does not use the name of the Works file because the filename for Works
documents is stored in a location not recognized by Global Village. Because
the fax software does not recognize the filename, the file is assigned the
name Fax Spool File when sent.

RESOLUTION
==========

Use the following steps to assign a name to the fax document:

1. Press and hold down the OPTION key, continue to hold down the key while
   you choose Fax from the File menu.

2. The Fax window will now open.

3. Click Send Now.

4. Select Save.

5. Click the Save button in the upper-right corner.

6. Enter a name for the file, and then click OK.

When the file has been saved, you can fax the file normally.
