SUMMARY

When attempting to insert page numbers on the background page, you may
receive the following message:

   To insert page numbers, you must first draw a text frame. Press F1
   now if you want more information about inserting page numbers.

This message is slightly misleading. You may also insert page numbers in a table
frame.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft
Publisher 95 for Windows.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
--------------------------

1. On the Page menu, click Go To Background.

2. On the Page menu, click Insert Page Numbers.
