SUMMARY
If an MS-DOS-based application causes a hard error and the dialog box is up
for that application when you attempt to log off, you won't be able to
finish logging off until you acknowledge the dialog box. However, if a
Windows-based application causes a hard error, you can log off without
acknowledging the dialog box. The hard error dialog box remains active on
the screen. Because the hard error handler has an open reference to the
application, the application is not destroyed until the hard error is
acknowledged.
NOTE: This does not jeopardize security in any way.
